A small business support group is currently meeting on alternate Monday Nights from 630 – 830 at 1155 S. Monaco in the Clubhouse. These are people from the original group that formed to create a worker cooperative who are not interested in being involved in the Food Project.
People who meet are discussing the construction company which is currently a partnership between 2 people who joined the original group. A thrift store which a sole-proprietorship established recently by someone who joined the original group. She recently signed a lease on West Colfax and Kipling. She hopes that one day it will generate enough business to be a worker-coop, and one other person who is talking about opening a sole-proprietorship which educates students on how to take the SAT’s.
