Joanna Whitney holds her Masters in Fine Arts from RPI, in Troy, NY and her BFA in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts in NYC. She has worked as an Intuitive Painter and Teacher of Intuitive Painting for over 20 years. Joanna has been a member of and worked extensively with a non-profit cooperative for over 20 years. She has used spiritual principles to encourage democratic leadership within this context on a volunteer basis. Joanna has come to believe that “selling” art in this desperate economic situation is too self-serving. She would prefer to utilize her creative talent to pull together diverse elements in a piece of political performance art and create a worker cooperative.
