This project is a performance piece about homelessness, desperation, willingness, begging, selling, trading, people, spirit, giving, art, value, meaning. Art has become valueless in this culture in my opinion because art has been taken out of the hands of the people through our economic system which systematically removes the goodness of life, making us slaves to the 1% – we are on a treadmill working for the “man” and we don’t have time for art – art is cut from schools – we watch TV and the artists are cast to the fringes of society. Some of the artists conform to academia and create art that is so far removed from regular life that they exist out on the edge with of the 1% holding themselves in an elitist class and some artists make pictures of the safe and acceptable also selling to the 1% -
I am a non-conformist. I have to live free or I die. I have to make art and my art is Spiritual in nature and therefore outside the artworld, although it is high end Art.
As a 49-year-old, Masters Degree’d individual, I have not been able to find even a menial job to live since 2008.
I am forming a Worker Cooperative and I and others members, need gas money, etc to get to our meetings.

But I have to pay the bills…paradoxically challenges Matthew 6:28 ”And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin,”
